Sarah Sloan is a documentary producer. She specializes in a film production process in which collaborators (also known as participants) are story partners. Sloan is an International Women's Media Fund grantee and her work has been funded by Google News Initiative. Her work has been distributed by PBS and the Pulitzer Center. Sloan’s work on Steve James’ America to Me docu-series received honorable mention in Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas. Sloan has been trained in resiliency, safety and trauma for working in documentary film by the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma. She is based in Wilmington, North Carolina.
